Hi, I'm Ginger
I have been a women's portrait artist for 19 years now, and a photographer for even longer than that. And yes, my "Why" has evolved with each passing year. It's not enough to say that it's a totally kick ass job, it is, BUT that's not WHY I do it.
I do this type of work because one of my core values is to leave people better than I found them. It's important to me to spend my time improving women's lives. I might not be able to single handedly close pay gaps, smash the patriarchy or make knowing what's for dinner any easier, but I know, I KNOW, how to make you feel better about being in the skin you're in. I KNOW how to help you step into your power and reclaim your confidence. And I know that when you feel better, when you feel in your power, when you feel confident, then YOU can go out and live your very best life.

Though each session is unique to the client, there are some things we do for everyone to ensure that your experience is the most amazing that it can be. I want you to leave the studio feeling deeply connected, seen, and in your power. Planning and styling are integral parts of the success of your photo session so these bases will get covered with everyone.

Design Consultation
When you schedule your photo session we'll also schedule your design consultation. This one hour Zoom call will be your first glimpse at the studio. Its our opportunity to begin planning your session together from wardrobe, styling and sets to which products might be best for your ultimate display needs.

Professional Styling
Your session includes professional makeup styling as well as professional hair styling. I work with the area's best styling teams to ensure you are camera ready for your photo session. Whether we're crafting a soft glam, natural, or dramatic look, I've got the stylist to make you say "WOAH I look amazing" before we even pick up a camera.

Heirloom Products
I offer gorgeous, heirloom quality albums, folio boxes and wall art to showcase you in the art we'll create. I keep examples on hand in the studio for you to see and touch and decide which suit you and your style best. Of course you will also receive the corresponding digital file of each image you purchase.

We explore different genres, emotions, styles and vibes during every session. We can create wall worthy art and discrete "for your eyes only" images in the same session.

Question: Where are you located?
I have a gorgeous 2000 square foot studio in Henrico Virginia, just north of Richmond. I also work at various locations around the area depending on the theme and genre of work we're creating during your photo shoot. 2900 Hungary Rd Henrico VA 23228 is my address.
Question : How long does a session take?
Though we don't have a set time limit, I don't limit you to a 30 minute window. Between hair & makeup styling, actual photography time and the image review time you'll want to plan for a full day. We normally start at 10am and wrap up around 3pm. I offer sessions Tuesday-Friday.
Question: Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! I offer convenient pre-session payment plans. Simply select the image collection you feel best meets your needs. We'll split it into equal payments leading up to your photo session so that the day of your shoot you're all paid off and you get your products back right away. And yes, you can upgrade the day of your shoot if you love more images than you pre-selected.
Question: I'm nervous about being photographed. Is that normal?
Not only is it normal but the vast majority of my clients feel the same way. We do a few things to help minimize nerves. First, your discovery call. This initial call gives us a chance to chat before you get on my schedule so I can learn exactly what you want from this session. Next, the design consultation via Zoom, where we'll talk about what you want to feel when you see your images. We'll talk about what to wear, how to highlight what you want to highlight, and what concerns you have. You can email me with any questions you've got beforehand, too. The day of your photo shoot you'll spend the first hour and a half in the styling chair chatting with me and my team while you get camera ready. It's a great way to get the last bit of nerves out before we start creating. By the time you're in front of my camera you'll be ready for your big moment.
Question: "I'm plus size" and/or "I'm over 30" can I still do this.
Hey, me too! Hell yeah you can do this. And you'll be so happy that you did. This isn't an amusement park so there are no size requirements. And there is no upper age limit on feeling beautiful so get in here. You do have to be 21+ for a boudoir photography experience with me though.
Question: Will you share my photos online?
If you let me. Look, your privacy is more important to me than having pictures to share on social media or in my portfolio. If you're willing and able to let me share I will be thrilled to do so, but if your images need to stay private I'll respect that and not share a single one. You guide me on this one.
